We don’t want you to struggle with our bicycle seats. We want you to enjoy them. So, we think it should be easy to mount an seat on your bike. It is really no more than 5 minutes of work, and all the mounting materials are included. Your bike does need some requirements. Find out in our check-list.
1. Has a diameter between 22 and 28 mm (Bobike 32 mm)
This is a standard size for stems. A stem size almost never happens to deviates from this. Does the stem of your bike looks like it’s thicker? Then you may have to remove a spacer (black ring) first.
2. Has a minimum of 19 mm available in height
The compact adapter that comes standard with the front seat requires a height of 19 mm to be mounted properly. If there is less space available on your bike, please check if it is possible to remove a spacer. If this doesn’t work, you will need the MTB / ATB adapter as an accessory to mount the front seat. For more information about the MTB/ATB adapter, read further below.
What if?
Your bike has a rack above the front wheel?
The transport rack on the front of your bicycle may be in the way of the front seat’s footrests. Luckily, most transport racks are made so that they can easily be placed forward! Do you need help? At the bike shop in your town, they sure can help you out.
You have an electric bicycle?
That is not a problem at all. The Urban Iki front seat is also suitable for e-bikes.
